2026 MAMMOTH XC VCs SUMMER SERIES
The XC Village Championships, or VCs as they are known, are back for the summer of 2026. Dates are now posted on our calendar.

These races are held on trails that will challenge your endurance and skill level, yet are still fun and user friendly. We encourage all ages and abilities to give it a try. We offer options of distance, usually 1, 2, or 3 laps. The races are split into adult age groups for men and women and also junior categories. There are always a variety of snacks and drinks, with Giovanni’s pizza and Sierra Nevada beer for post race socializing. It’s all about fun and camaraderie in the mountainbiking community, and most importantly, the VCs are FREE to all!

VC GRAND PRIX!
2026 will continue the Village Championship Grand Prix competition! SEMBA Members can compete for prizes and prestige in the VCGP. We will track the Expert Category over the VC Series and assign points for the male and female finishers in each Expert race. The race leader will get to wear a sweet VCGP Leader Jersey at each VC. The top 5 finishers after VC #5 will receive cool prizes and the title of 2026 VC Grand Prix Champion!

VC HISTORY
The VCs started back in the mid 90's and were held mostly on the trails in Shady Rest Park. After a one year in absence in 2015, SEMBA was formed and took over the new and improved VCs, partnering with Mammoth Mountain. The modern day VCs are held both on the relatively new MLTS system trails in the Sherwin Meadow, along with a few each year in the MMSA Bike Park.
